The AJEX Charitable Foundation is the only Jewish organization catering for the needs of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women and

mobility aids or help with household furnishings or repairs.
The number of serious cases increases each year, as veterans of the Second World War get older and Ex-National Service personnel

British Friends of Israel War Disabled (BFIWD) is a non-political organization, established in 1974, dedicated to helping disabled Israeli
soldiers rebuild their lives. Tragically, Israel has over 50,000 registered war disabled. Each year BFIWD brings groups of injured soldiers
to communities in the UK as a vital part of their rehabilitation. The trip changes their lives, giving them hope for the future. Equipment

Defying every conflict between Palestinians and Israel over more than 30 years, Jewish and Arab families of Israeli citizenship have

Shuvu is an educational and welfare network spanning 68 schools and kindergartens in Israel. The network’s priority is to connect

The Israel Free Loan Association (IFLA) is an Israeli non-profit organization, established in 1990, that has provided over 40,000
interest-free loans to needy families for housing, small businesses, education, food, rent, medical expenses and war victims. IFLA has
provided £68 million in loans since 1990. Repayments are constantly recycled into new loans. Overheads are less than 5% and defaults

Created in 1991, the Israel Guide Dog Centre for the Blind was established to train and supply guide dogs to an increasing number of
blind Israelis who were unable to obtain a dog from an English-speaking centre abroad.
Hundreds of partnerships have now been created at our centre that is located not far from Rishon L’Zion at Beit Oved. Each partnership
costs some £15,000 for the life long care of the guide dog, training and aftercare.
A legacy or gift will help provide another pair of eyes to the growing number of blind persons who ‘look’ to us to help restore their
independence and dignity.

RAMBAM MEDICAL CENTRE in Haifa aspires to lead in all aspects of medical care on behalf of the two million population living

Tikva’s core mission is to care for the homeless, abandoned and abused Jewish children of Odessa, Ukraine. Tikva provides a loving

secondary schools, teaching over 750 Jewish children from Tikva’s homes and the Odessa region.

Founded in 1995, Camp Simcha exists to improve the quality of life for Jewish children in the UK with cancer and other lifethreatening
illnesses. Family liaison officers provide practical and emotional support to parents and an army of volunteers provides
powerful positive experiences to children, including siblings. These experiences have the power to transform quality of life. They
include young volunteers, parties and outings, special tailor-made treats, family retreats, a summer day scheme and the opportunity
to attend the world famous Camp Simcha in the Catskill Mountains, with full medical support. Camp Simcha provides all services free
of charge to families from across the spectrum of Jewish observance and affiliation. The charity is entirely dependant on voluntary

One in six couples experience infertility: with Chana Charitable Trust, they are not alone. The pain of not having one’s own family is
particularly acute in the Jewish community where the family is so central. Chana has helped hundreds of couples to better understand
and deal with challenges of infertility and it has supported them every step of the way.
Chana provides specialist medical support and information, individual and couple counselling, a confidential Helpline and events
highlighting medical information.
The organisation is backed by an expert Medical Advisory Panel, sensitive to the needs of the Jewish community.

Chizuk’s aim is to help people - and their families - in the Orthodox Jewish Community who have mental health problems; reducing

those experiencing life crises. Our services include drop-in groups, drama and art therapy, family support, befriending, organising carers,
hospital visits, educational seminars, advocacy and public events - where speakers offer their views on aspects of mental health.
As the only mental health organization that specialises in providing a religiously and culturally sensitive environment for its Orthodox
Jewish users, Chizuk’s function is also educational, in that it helps to combat stigma by changing the way that mental health is viewed
in the community.

Winner of the National Charity Awards 2001 for Management Excellence, Cosgrove Care was founded in 1963 to help adults with
learning difficulties in the Jewish community in Scotland. Cosgrove has grown considerably since then and now supports upwards of
120 individuals of all ages and their families in a range of programmes such as residential and supported living services, outreach and
respite services and supported employment. During 2008 Cosgrove’s Child Services Department attained Autism Accreditation for its
excellence in delivery of services to children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Cosgrove relies on voluntary contributions in addition to its public sector contracts in order to provide its service users with the best
possible personalised services to enable them to enhance their lives, achieve their potential and experience what most of us take
for granted.
