Israel is a country that is close to most of our hearts. It is also a country where more than one in three children lives in poverty, 24% of the population has a disability and 62% of Ethiopian families have no income at all.
myisrael is a unique umbrella organization supporting a handful of charities across Israel that are working to combat these problems. Donors to myisrael can choose a specific charity to support, or make a general donation to be allocated to the charities most in need. Charities supported include the Bet Shean Foodbank in the North and Girlfriends IDF, offering emotional and financial support to partners of fallen soldiers. And the best part is that 100% of every donation to myisrael projects goes straight there. Guaranteed. Please help us support the smaller charities that really need our help.

Nightingale is one of Europe's leading providers of residential, nursing and dementia care for older members of the community. It offers its residents a ‘home for life’ regardless of health or how much this may deteriorate. Nightingale is widely known for its excellent range of facilities and its activities programme. It has its own synagogue and Kosher cuisine, and excellent on-site medical services. Local Authority support falls significantly short of the cost of maintaining Nightingale as an independent charity. It depends largely on the generosity of its friends for donations, grants and bequests.

Olim Together - (Immigrants Together) was founded in 2006 to address the absorption difficulties and some of the problems common to the Ethiopian Israeli population. Unemployment in the Ethiopian community, particularly among graduates, is extremely high with 85% either working in menial jobs or being out of work altogether. Decreasing the unemployment rate among Ethiopian Israeli university graduates and enabling them to hold respectable jobs, will give them a second chance at successful and permanent absorption into society. The programme helps individuals in finding employment that suits their academic education, talents, and abilities. Each graduate participates in an English language course, learns job search and interview skills, has his own mentor and is introduced to potential employers. Olim Together has helped 150 people find and keep suitable jobs.
