GIFT’s twin objectives are to teach young people to GIVE and to help those in NEED.
Through GIFT, thousands of young people are being inspired to become GIVERS and to make a difference.
GIFT volunteers are helping almost 2000 people in need each week with food parcels and practical help including tutoring for their children, a helping hand after school, and visiting the elderly and infirm in hospitals and care homes.
GIFT run a food rescue programme – distributing over a tonne of fresh and dry food each week; we offer tailor-made Bnei Mitzvah projects and are active in schools across London, Manchester and Jerusalem, teaching and facilitating ‘giving’ and volunteering in a practical and real way.

The League of Jewish Women is a long established charity founded in 1943. Our aims are to give service to the communities we live in, and to give hands-on help where there is a need, irrespective of ethnic grouping, gender or religion. We provide volunteer help in many diverse places such as schools, prisons, hospices and day centres.
We work with other organizations such as Macmillan nurses, Witness and Victim Support and Jewish Care. We are the UK affiliate of the International Council of Jewish Women and therefore have worldwide links, and are also affiliated to other national women’s organizations.
